What’s in it?
INGREDIENTS Aqua (Purified Water), Dicaprylyl Carbonate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cocoglycerides, Cyclomethicone,
Lauryl Glucoside, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E),
Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide.
Aqua Purified water – the Purified water used in Elave formulations is free from toxins, pollutants and microbes.
Dicaprylyl Carbonate – fractionated Coconut oil is a fast spreading emollient derived from coconut. Used in cleansing
products to effectively remove oily make-up and impurities from the surface of the skin, it leaves the skin feeling soft
and velvety without leaving a residue.
C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate is a thickening agent and an emollient that increases spreadability providing light conditioning for
the skin with a silky- soft after-feel.
Cocoglyceride is an emollient and is a fraction of fatty acid esters derived from coconut oil, it can also be used in
cleansing products to effectively remove oily make-up and impurities from the surface of the skin.
Cyclomethicone is a humectant (helps to retain water) it can easily spread across the skin to deliver active healing
ingredients to all targeted areas equally without entering the pores or sticking to skin cells. It helps leave skin feeling
smooth and lubricated,
Lauryl Glucoside is a very gentle surfactant that is 100% plant derived with good dermatological compatibility and
viscosity enhancing effects. Made from Coconut oil (Lauryl) and sugar (Glucose) is used to properly disperse the
ingredients, and ensure easy rinsing and removal of dirt. The term surfactant comes from the words surface active
agent. Surfactants function by breaking down the interface between water and oils and/or dirt. 
Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate is a mild naturally derived cleansing agent and emulsifier. It is derived from
natural oil.
Glycerin is available naturally in vegetable oils.
• Absorbs moisture from the air to keep the skin well-toned, moisturised and hydrated
• It is a humectant (helps to retain water) and extremely hygroscopic, meaning it readily absorbs water from
other sources. In part, Glycerin works because of its ability to attract water from the environment and from the
lower layers of the skin (dermis) increasing the amount of water in the surface layers of the skin to keep skin
well-toned, moisturised and hydrated.
• Strengthens skin barrier – It increases the thickness of the epidermal layer and improves barrier function. This
means that the harmful chemicals stay out of the skin and moisture stays in.
Phenoxyethanol is a preservative with a low irritancy profile, used in order to avoid irritating even the most sensitive
skin. In addition to using the gentlest preservatives; we use the lowest quantity of preservative necessary to preserve
the product to further avoid irritating sensitive skin.
Tocopheryl Acetate Vitamin E an anti-oxidant vitamin renders free radicals harmless before they damage the skin’s
healthy cells. Also known as a wound healer its small molecules can penetrate deep into the skin and stimulate natural
cell growth to rejuvenate the skin from the inside out. It helps reduce the signs of aging including fine lines, wrinkles
and brown spots.
Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer functions as a thickener in the product to allow ease of application and
as an emulsifying agent providing flow and clarity in our low irritancy cleansing product.
Xanthan Gum is a natural source thickener derived from glucose or sucrose with skin hydrating properties.
Disodium EDTA shown to enhance the foaming and cleaning capabilities of a cosmetic solution.Disodium EDTA is a
chelating agent and it counteracts the adverse effects of hard water by binding with heavy metal ions contained in
tap water, which in turn prevents the metals from being deposited onto the skin, hair and scalp. Disodium EDTA is a
preservative booster that reduces the amount of preservatives necessary to maintain the microbiological integrity of
the product.
