Elave sensitive baby shampoo is an extremely gentle sulphate-free shampoo suitable for babies from new-born. The high foam sulfate- free formula combined with gentle conditioners shampoos with a silky after feel.
What’s in it?
Ingredients Aqua (Purified Water), Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glycerin, Lauryl Glucoside, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Phenoxyethanol, Chamomila Recutita (Camomile) Flower Extract, Maltodextrin, Disodium EDTA, Polyquaternium-10, Citric Acid.
Aqua Purified water – the Purified water used in Elave formulations is free from toxins, pollutants and microbes.
Surfactants
The single most important ingredient in shampoos - Surfactants lower the surface tension of water increasing the contact between the liquid and another substance so two substances that normally do not mix can become dissolved or dispersed in one another. Their foaming action helps water get under dirt and oil, allowing it to be washed away. Some surfactants irritate the scalp, while others are gentle. The Surfactants in our Elave Sensitive Baby Shampoo are Sulfate-free and biodegradable offering a natural alternative to harsh chemicals
Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate derived from coconut oil, is an extremely mild cleanser that can be used as a primary or secondary surfactant and creates dense, luxurious foam and imparts an elegant after-feel. Furthermore, it has excellent water solubility properties, making it a good choice for clear liquid cleansing systems.
Lauryl Glucoside is a very gentle surfactant that is 100% plant derived with good dermatological compatibility and viscosity enhancing effects. Made from Coconut oil (Lauryl) and sugar (Glucose) is used to properly disperse ingredients.
PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate is a surfactant and emulsifier produced from natural, renewable sources. These ingredients offer enhanced emolliency, improved emulsification, humectancy, moisturisation and thickening. They feature excellent safety profiles, and can even serve to minimize the irritation created by other formulation ingredients.
Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate is a mild cleanser derived from natural coconut oil and sugar this gentle cleanser has excellent cleansing and foaming properties.
Glycerin is available naturally in vegetable oils.
Phenoxyethanol is a preservative with a low irritancy profile, used in order to avoid irritating even the most sensitive skin. In addition to using the gentlest preservatives; we use the lowest quantity of preservative necessary to preserve the product to further avoid irritating sensitive skin
Chamomila Recutita Flower Extract has been used since ancient times for its healing properties.
It has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties known to help with problem skin.
Disodium EDTA shown to enhance the foaming and cleaning capabilities of a cosmetic solution. Disodium EDTA is a chelating agent and it counteracts the adverse effects of hard water by binding with heavy metal ions contained in tap water, which in turn prevents the metals from being deposited onto the skin, hair and scalp. Disodium EDTA is a preservative booster that reduces the amount of preservatives necessary to maintain the microbiological integrity of the product
Maltodextrin derived from maze/corn possesses a thickening and emulsifying effect. It is gluten free.
