Non-Drowsy Sinutab Tablets contain paracetamol and the decongestant pseudoephedrine, for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

  • Active ingredients: paracetamol 500mg and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30mg per tablet
  • Pack: 15 tablets
  • Used for: relief of the symptoms of colds and flu, including aches, pains, fever, and nasal and sinus congestion
  • How to use: adults and children aged 16 years and over take 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed, no more than 8 tablets in 24 hours; children aged 12 to 15 years take 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed; take with a glass of water; leave at least 4 hours between doses; no more than 4 doses in 24 hours; do not take for more than 5 days; not for children under 12 years
  • Do not use if you: are allergic to paracetamol, pseudoephedrine or any of the other ingredients; have high blood pressure or heart disease; have diabetes; have a phaeochromocytoma; have an overactive thyroid; have glaucoma; have severe acute or chronic kidney problems; have lung disease or breathing difficulties; are taking, or have taken in the last 2 weeks, an MAOI or RIMA antidepressant; are taking any other cough and cold medicines; are taking beta blockers; or are under 12 years of age
  • Paracetamol: talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you take any other medicine containing paracetamol; get medical advice straight away in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage; avoid alcohol
  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first if you: have difficulty passing water or need to pass water often (e.g. prostate problems); have epilepsy; have liver or kidney problems; have blocked arteries or veins; have haemolytic anaemia; are being treated for a thyroid disorder; have alcohol dependence; weigh less than 50kg, are malnourished or dehydrated; or take any other medicines, including blood pressure medicines, oxytocin, digoxin, ergotamine, tricyclic antidepressants, cholestyramine, metoclopramide, domperidone, stimulants or appetite suppressants, anticholinergics, warfarin, the contraceptive pill, epilepsy medicines or flucloxacillin
  • Stop and get medical help straight away if: you develop a sudden severe headache, feeling or being sick, confusion, fits or changes in vision, sudden loss of vision, sudden stomach pain or rectal bleeding, a feverish red rash with pustules, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, an allergic skin rash, or hallucinations or paranoid delusions; stop and talk to your doctor if you get restlessness, sleep problems, palpitations or trouble passing water
  • Tell your doctor straight away if: you have a severe illness such as sepsis or severe kidney problems, are malnourished, have chronic alcoholism or take flucloxacillin, because of the risk of a serious blood and fluid problem (metabolic acidosis)
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use
  • Driving and sport: this medicine may cause dizziness; if affected, do not drive or operate machinery; pseudoephedrine may produce positive results in anti-doping tests
